Activity: phase singularities, polarization singularities, optical tweezers
Our research can be divided into two areas:
1) Optical field’s singularities and vortex metrology
2) Optical tweezers
The metrological aspects of our work are focused on optical vortex interferometry, optical vortex imaging in microscopy, optical vortex wavefront sensing, as well as novel methods of laser beam positioning. Recently, we also expanded our research towards telecommunication based on optical vortices for the purpose of the computational industry.
Regarding optical tweezers, our work focuses on developing the optical tweezers technique, measuring biological objects in cooperation with biomedical groups, and applying nanocrystals for medical and material science.
